In his short life Trysor gave us so much pleasure, we will always be indebted to Humphrey Jones for letting us purchase him. He was a Champion and Medal winner, was the Star of Christmas Stallion video, where his son Cwmcae Dafydd played a supporting role, but more importantly was a terrific stock getter who consistently ‘got ‘ quality stock. Stock by Trysor have won (Riverbank Rosina) and been highly placed at the RWAS, as well as winning countless championships and first prizes.

Rosina's mother needs no introduction, twice winner at thr Royal Welsh Show (1990 and 1995). Female Champion in 1995 with Rosina at foot who was placed second. Rosina was first in 1997 as a two year old, since then she has accumulated three second places and a third, giving a tremendous show in 2010 where she was placed second after standing on top for most of the class.

Rosina has won many medals and Championships during her illustrious career.

Rosina winning the Mare class and Medal at Blaenau Gwent Show 2011 and her son Riverbank Robin winning the foal class at the same show and was second at the previous weeks Royal Welsh. Robin is by Danaway Archie Brown

Tywysog winning as a young horse

Tywysog first came to us on lease from our good friends Eric & Dilys Roberts of the Erdyl Stud in 2004. Although not extensively used when at Erdyl (then situated at Mold) he produced top class stock to include Erdyl Delyth (National Foal Show winner) and Erdyl Annabelle (National Foal Show winner and Silver Medal winner). While at Penycrug he sired some exceptional stock starting with Penycrug Daniel, including Penycrug Rhianna (see mares page) and this year (2009) siring Penycrug Selina and Rachel. Tywysog then returned to Erdyl (Now situated on Anglesey) in 2008. After having Selina and Rachel in 2009 Janet and I purchased Tywysog in October 2009.

Below is the pedigree of Tywysog and the discerning breeder can appreciate that he combines the best of Nebo breeding, the immortal Parc Welsh Flyer, Trevallion, Derwen and Cascob bloodlines, also a line to that wonderful progenitor Hendy Brenin. His stock speak for themselves, with powerful, straight action, good bone, foot, feather and presence. To complete the package he has the most wonderful temperament.
