Welsh PENYCRUG Cobs

Performance

Penycrug Rhodri and Tracey

at The Great Yorkshire Show

His delighted owners are Bev and Roger Froggett of Yorkshire and we wish them every success in the future.

Stock from Penycrug have also been sold to competition homes, the most successful being Penycrug Rhodri, (Pantlleinau Trysor x Caerllwyn Sarah) who was the WP&CS Section D Performance Champion 0f 2000. He is a consistent prizewinner and excels at Show Jumping, Cross Country and Dressage as well as under saddle.

After enjoying unlimited success in a number of spheres with Rhodri AKA Chubby, together with advancing miles on the clock, Roger and Bev decided to purchase Penycrug Sovereign (by Carnwallon Llewelyn by Pennal Calon Lan and out of Penycrug Tirion by Pantlleinau Trysor, see Mares page).  Sov has been shown lightly this year and has performed extremely well.  Janet and I hope that Roger, Bev and Tracey have as much fun with him as they have with Rhodri.

Below are some photos of Sovereign and a list of his achievements so far

Penycrug Cellan

(1998 - 2006)

Sire:  Pantlleinau Trysor by Derwen Replica

Dam:  Penycrug Tarian by Aberaeron Matador

Ceri and Eddie, of the Abertyleri Stud,  bought Cellan as a foal and won prizes with him in hand.  He was also showing great promise as a sire but undoubtedly his specialism was under saddle. He collected many prizes in his short lifetime but this came second to the pleasure that he gave the family.  To say they adored him was an understatement.  They say life can be cruel, on Monday 28th of August 2006 Cellan was ridden Champion at Dowlais Show, by Sunday he was dead. Deepest sympathy to all the Family.
